ANNUAL BICYCLE RODEO
Full Description:
Sachse Police Department and the Citizens
Police Academy Alumni Association
will host the Annual Bicycle Rodeo on
Saturday, May 19th from 10 a.m. until 12
noon at Sachse Assembly of God Church
parking lot. The motorcycle and bike patrol officers will be on hand to
conduct bicycle inspections and registrations, create ID cards, answer
questions and educate children and parents on bicycle and scooter
safety. An obstacle course will be set up for tips on bicycle navigation
and safety helmets will be available as long as supplies last. A drawing
will be held at the end of the event for prizes.

In other Police Department news, annual awards
were announced at the recent banquet. Officer of
the Year was Stephen Norris; Dispatcher of the Year
was Deborah Ortiz; Employee of the Year was a tie
between Laura Wise and Gary Burcalow; Supervisor
of the Year was Jessy Frazier. Reserve Officer
Marilyn Dow was recognized for 25 years of service.
